Fire Photography in S.E. Wisconsin
On Friday Jnuary 25th, 2013 @ 1255 hrs the South Shore Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 2828 Cottage Drive.
Responding units included Engines 9 & 10, Quint 9, Med 8, Battaion 8 and Car 8 (Fire Chief).
Upon arrival firefighters found a detached three vehicle garage heavily involved with acetyline tanks explodining at which time Engine 7 was added to the response.
A defensive operation was put into place and with in minutes the garage collapsed into itself.
Lost in the blaze were two Harley Davidson motorcycles, a riding lawn mower, tools and a shop.
Sixteen chickens persihed in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The property owner estimated damages in excess of several hundred throusand dollars.
