Oak Creek Fire & Rescue - Working Still Alarm - Lake Forest Apartments 8531 S. Chicago Road - May 12th, 2012
On Saturday morning May 12th, 2012 at 0759hrs the Oak Creek Fire Department dispatched a Working Still Alarm for a report of a fire at the Lake Forest Apartments, 8531 S. Chicago Road. Responding on the alarm were Engines 2 & 3, Truck 1, Ambulance 2 and Batalion 18.
First arriving Engine 2 reported light smoke showing from the rear of a multi unit apartment building and streached a line into the building a found the fire in a single second floor apartment and quickly knocked the fire down as other firefighters assited in evacuating the building.
One resident reportedly sustained minor burns and Battalion 18 requested Med 183 to the scene to take care of the victim.
Companies responding on the Working Still Alarm included Cudahy Engine 1462, St. Francis Engine 2, Greendale Engine 402 and South Milwaukee Truck 1671.
The cause of the fire remaines under investigation.
