On Sunday evening March 21st, 2010 at approximately 1825hrs members of Caledonia Fire & Rescue Station's 1 & 3 were dispatched to a report of a vehicle in a ditch full of water with a man trying two remove two children from the vehicle on Highway 38 & 7 Mile Road.
Upon arriving on scene firefighters found a mini van in a ditch full with water and used a roof ladder to help a man and two children out of the van to the shoulder of the roadway.
Paramedics assited the three individuals to a rescue squad where they were checked for injuries.
It is unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Emergency units on scene included Engine 221, Rescue 233 (ALS) and Car 241 Command.
Caledonia Police are investigating the accident.
