On Tuesday afternoon November 17th, 2009 at approximetly 1430hrs members of Caledonia Fire & Rescue were dispatched to Highway 31 near Bluebird Lane for a reported single vehicle rollover accident requiring extrication.
Upon arrival Rescue 233 (ALS) reported that one vehicle was in a ditch on its side with a person trapped.
Based on extent of injuries Flight for Life was requested to the scene which brought Engine 222 to the incident to set up a landing zone.
Once extrication was complete the trapped person a 65-year-old woman was taken by ground ambulance to a Racine hospital where Flight for Life was diverted to.
The woman was flown to a Milwaukee Trauma Center with non life threatening injuries.
Caledonia Police are investigating the incident.
Fire & Rescue units on scene included Engine 221, Engine 222, Rescue Squad 233 (ALS), Command 241 and Chief 240.
