On Sunday afternoon March 22nd, 2009 at 1736hrs a General Alarm was sounded for a residential Fire Alarm sounding at 1310-10th Street.
Companies responding on the Fire Alarm were Engines 1 & 6, Truck 1 and Car 41 (Battalion Chief).
Engine 1 arrived turned on to 10th Street and reported flames and smoke showing from a single story wood frame home and that they were pulling an attack line.
With the report of a working fire Car 41 (Battalion Chief) requested Rescue 1 (ALS), Quint 7 (Rapid Intervention Team) and Car 43 Safety Officer to the scene.
Second due Engine 6 laid a 5" supply line to Engine1 and then stretched a second line into the fire building while the crew of Rescue 1 did a primary search of the home which proved negative as the Truck 1 crew ventilated the residence.
The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes.
A fire investigator (Utility 3) was called to the scene and as of this report the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Damage to the structure and contents listed at $25,000.
No injuries were reported.
